Intervento al dibattito sulla lotta contro il nucleare per l’iniziativa “Voi gli date vent’anni, noi gli diamo la parola”

Il testo che segue è l’intervento dell’anarchico imprigionato Alfredo Cospito al dibattito sulla lotta contro il nucleare tenutosi durante l’iniziativa “Voi gli date vent’anni, noi gli diamo la parola”, presso il Circolaccio Anarchico di Spoleto il 20 marzo 2021.

Dopo la visione di questo film sulla tragedia di Chernobyl mi è stato chiesto di fare un intervento.

Cosa dire?

Gli ultimi nove anni della mia vita li ho passati chiuso in una cella perché assieme ad un mio compagno ho sparato ad uno dei maggiori responsabili del nucleare in Italia all’epoca. Lo abbiamo fatto perché non volevamo capitasse qui da noi quello che avete visto accadere in questo film. Molto semplicistica come motivazione, ma è andata proprio così.

Ne è valsa la pena?

Mi piace pensare che la nostra azione, per quanto isolata, abbia avuto il suo peso. L’unica cosa certa è che azioni di questo tipo non saranno mai in alcun modo recuperabili da parte del sistema. Possono essere demonizzate ma mai recuperate e tanto meno cancellate perché pongono un aut-aut al potere, e dal mio punto di vista questo è più che sufficiente per giocarsi tutto, la libertà e anche la vita.

Sì! Alla fine dei conti ne è valsa la pena.

Non volevamo uccidere, ma solo ferire per erigere un muro invalicabile davanti al cinismo tecnologico ed assassino di scienziati e politici senza scrupoli: “Oltre non si va, non riporterete il nucleare in Italia, altrimenti ci opporremo con tutti i mezzi”.

Nove anni fa, quando colpimmo, la possibilità di un rientro del nucleare in Italia sembrava riaffacciarsi con forza. Da poco c’era stata Fukushima, nel “nostro” paese anni e anni di lotte contro il nucleare sembravano a rischio di essere cancellati, e ciò avveniva in un silenzio totale. All’epoca e ancora oggi l’Italia, attraverso l’Ansaldo Nucleare, contribuisce alla costruzione di centrali nucleari in paesi come la Romania e l’Albania. Poco prima della nostra azione un incidente durante i lavori di costruzione in uno di questi cantieri aveva ucciso due operai. In Italia nessuno ne parlava, tranne quei pochi utopisti di ecologisti-e e anarchici-e che temevano un ritorno delle centrali nel “nostro” territorio, molti partiti sostenevano questa prospettiva da incubo. Certo non mi illudo che il nostro gesto abbia bloccato il ritorno del nucleare in Italia, ma un po’ di paura gliela abbiamo messa. Il nostro contributo, per quanto limitato, lo abbiamo dato e ha avuto il suo peso, e non credo sia stato così trascurabile come hanno voluto farci credere.

Oggi lo Stato italiano deve per forza di cose “smaltire” le scorie nucleari delle vecchie centrali dismesse nascondendo 78.000 metri cubi di rifiuti radioattivi sotto il tappeto in Piemonte, Sardegna, Toscana, Lazio, Puglia, Basilicata, Sicilia. Spacciando la cosa come “smaltimento” di scorie a bassa intensità di radioattività, prodotto di lastre ed altro materiale medico di scarto, ma in realtà cercando sottobanco di far passare soprattutto lo “smaltimento” di radioattività ben più pericolosa, scarti delle vecchie centrali.

Voglio essere chiaro, la soluzione non può essere quella di portare i nostri rifiuti fuori dall’Italia, magari come già fatto in passato in Africa, usando i paesi più poveri come pattumiera della nostra merda nucleare. Un movimento “ecologista” che di fatto spinge a questo è un “ecologismo” borghese ed infame. Coloro che si oppongono ai depositi perché il valore delle proprie proprietà va a calare non avranno mai la mia fiducia. Sono quel genere di persone che hanno fatto entrare la politica più bieca nel movimento contro il TAV. Sempre pronti a svendere le lotte, a dissociarsi dalle azioni. Non possiamo far leva su certi istinti borghesi, né potremo far finta di non vedere quando i sindaci, le istituzioni locali di questi paesi, chiederanno risarcimenti o piagnucoleranno per le loro proprietà, per i loro commerci, per le loro perdite economiche. Avere a che fare di nuovo con tali personaggi sarebbe disastroso. Un antico detto ebraico diceva: “L’essere umano è l’unico animale che riesce ad inciampare due volte sulla stessa pietra”. Cerchiamo di non ripetere gli stessi errori, venti anni di lotta contro il TAV avranno pure insegnato qualcosa.

Sarebbe stupido e controproducente cercare noi le “soluzioni”, i palliativi per rendere la tecnologia più accettabile, “ecologica”. Siamo contro i depositi nucleari quanto contro le pale eoliche, non esistono in questo campo le mezze misure. L’unica reale e definitiva soluzione alle scorie nucleari è lottare con ogni mezzo perché le centrali nucleari chiudano dappertutto. Non possiamo girarci intorno, è una questione di vita o di morte. Il pianeta sta morendo, c’è una sola cosa da fare: distruggere dall’interno la società tecnologica e capitalista in cui siamo costretti a vivere. È inutile scappare, è ipocrita ritagliarsi un piccolo paradiso in terra, anche non volendo si diventa complici, è criminale cercare palliativi, illudersi che la tecnologia possa diventare “ecologica”. Non è il numero di partecipanti ad un corteo che ci farà ottenere risultati, ma la forza e la radicalità delle nostre azioni. Questa è una delle nostre peculiarità, come anarchici-e miriamo al qualitativo, non tanto alla quantità di persone dietro uno striscione ma alla qualità delle azioni, della nostra vita. La gente arriverà ma dipenderà dalla nostra coerenza e onestà d’intenti e anche dalla nostra progettualità rivoluzionaria. Il primo ostacolo che incontriamo in questo ambito è sempre lo stesso, l’ecologismo qualunquista borghese.

Con questo non voglio sostenere che bisogna isolarsi, certo lottiamo a fianco delle persone che vengono coinvolte direttamente da questi depositi, partecipiamo ai cortei, ai presidi ma non sacrifichiamo il nostro punto di vista alla “realtà”, al compromesso. Cerchiamo di essere sempre critici con chi abbiamo a fianco e soprattutto non limitiamo le nostre azioni in nome di una presunta incomprensibilità da parte della gente.

Partecipiamo alle assemblee popolari (se ci saranno) ma non mistifichiamo il nostro reale fine, la distruzione della società tecnologica, la costruzione di una società libera dallo Stato.

Ricordiamoci anche che agendo al di fuori delle decisioni assembleari non facciamo alcun torto alla collettività in lotta, esprimiamo semplicemente il nostro essere anarchici-e.

Non dissociamoci in nome di una lotta comune dalle azioni violente che avverranno, se mai avverranno, anche se non le condividiamo. Rinunciamo ai falsi benefici (comodità) che questa società marcia ci “regala”, cerchiamo di essere coerenti.

Credo che questi siano i pochi insegnamenti che le lotte “sociali” ecologiste ci hanno dato negli ultimi decenni.

Forse un’altra occasione ci si presenta all’orizzonte, un’occasione da non perdere, sono fermamente convinto che basterebbe non ripetere i soliti errori per andare incontro ad inaspettati riscontri.

Si potrebbe condensare tutto questo mio soliloquio in un concetto molto semplice: “multiformità delle azioni senza preconcetti e paletti”.

Facciamola finita con le paranoie sull’avanguardia, sulla spettacolarizzazione delle azioni, ognuno agisca come vuole, tutto si armonizzerà in un “unicum”, e soprattutto dissociamoci dalle dissociazioni.

Sarò sicuramente uscito “fuori tema”, credo che comunque tra di voi ci saranno degli anarchici e delle anarchiche. Il mio è un discorso di un anarchico indirizzato più che altro a degli anarchici-e, ma spero sia stato raccolto da tutti-e, anche se rappresenta un punto di vista “particolare”.

Quello che è certo è che i problemi che abbiamo affrontato oggi riguardano tutti, la vita di tutti.

Mi piacerebbe moltissimo partecipare al dibattito lì con voi, ma per forza maggiore mi è impossibile.

The following text is the speech of the imprisoned anarchist Alfredo Cospito at the debate on the struggle against nuclear energy held during the initiative “Voi gli date vent’anni, noi gli diamo la parola” (“You give him twenty years, we give him the word”), at Circolaccio Anarchico, in Spoleto, on March 20, 2021.

After watching this film on the Chernobyl tragedy, I was asked to give a speech.

What to say?

The last nine years of my life were spent locked up in a cell because, together with a comrade of mine, I shot one of the most important nuclear executives in Italy at the time. We did it because we didn’t want what you have seen happen in this film to happen here. A very simplistic motivation, but that’s what happened.

Was it worth it?

I’d like to think that our action, however isolated, carried its weight. The only thing that is certain is that actions of this kind will never in any way be recoverable by the system. They can be demonised but never recovered, let alone cancelled, because they pose an ultimatum to power, and from my point of view that is more than enough to gamble everything, freedom and even life.

Yes! At the end of the day it was worth it.

We didn’t want to kill, we only wanted to wound, to erect an impassable wall in front of the technological and murderous cynicism of unscrupulous scientists and politicians: “Beyond you don’t go, you will not bring nuclear power back to Italy, otherwise we will oppose it with all our means”.

Nine years ago, when we struck, the possibility of a return of nuclear power to Italy seemed to be resurfacing strongly. Fukushima had just taken place, and in “our” country, years and years of struggle against nuclear energy seemed at risk of being wiped out, and this was happening in total silence. At the time, and still today, Italy, through Ansaldo Nucleare, contributes to the construction of nuclear power plants in countries such as Romania and Albania. Shortly before our action, an accident during construction at one of these sites killed two workers. No one in Italy was talking about it, except for those few utopian ecologists and anarchists who feared a return of power stations to “our” territory, and many parties supported this nightmarish prospect. Of course, I have no illusions that our action has blocked the return of nuclear power in Italy, but we have put some fear into them. We made our contribution, albeit limited, and it had its weight, and I don’t think it was as negligible as they wanted us to believe.

Today, the Italian government must, of necessity, “dispose” of the nuclear waste from the old decommissioned power stations by sweeping 78,000 cubic metres of radioactive waste under the carpet in Piedmont, Sardinia, Tuscany, Lazio, Puglia, Basilicata and Sicily. They are passing it off as the “disposal” of low-level radioactive waste, plate products and other medical waste, but in reality they are trying to pass off, under the table, the “disposal” of far more dangerous radioactivity, waste from the old nuclear power stations.

Let me be clear, the solution cannot be to take our waste out of Italy, perhaps as has already been done in the past in Africa, using poorer countries as dustbins for our nuclear shit. An “ecological” movement that actually pushes for this is bourgeois and infamous “ecologism”. Those who oppose the nuclear storage structures because the value of their property is going down will never have my trust. They are the kind of people who have brought the most blatant politics into the anti-TAV (high-speed train) movement. Always ready to sell out struggles, to disassociate themselves from actions. We cannot appeal to certain bourgeois instincts, nor will we be able to turn a blind eye when the mayors, the local institutions of these countries, demand compensation or whine about their property, their businesses, their economic losses. Dealing with such characters again would be disastrous. An ancient Hebrew saying goes: “The human being is the only animal that can stumble twice over the same stone”. Let’s try not to repeat the same mistakes, twenty years of struggle against the TAV must have taught us something.

It would be stupid and counterproductive for us to look for “solutions”, palliatives to make the technology more acceptable, “ecological”. We are just as much against nuclear storage as we are against wind turbines – there are no half measures in this field. The only real and definitive solution to nuclear waste is to fight by all means to ensure that nuclear power stations close everywhere. We can’t go around it, it’s a matter of life and death. The planet is dying, there is only one thing to do: destroy from the inside the technological and capitalist society we are forced to live in. It is useless to run away, it is hypocritical to carve out a little paradise on earth, even if you don’t want to, you become an accomplice; it is criminal to look for palliatives, to delude yourself that technology can become “ecological”. It is not the number of participants in a demonstration that will get us results, but the strength and radicality of our actions. This is one of our peculiarities, as anarchists we aim for the qualitative, not so much the quantity of people behind a banner but the quality of actions, of our lives. People will come but it will depend on our coherence and honesty of purpose and also on our revolutionary projectuality. The first obstacle we encounter in this area is always the same, bourgeois qualunquist ecologism.

With this I do not want to argue that we should isolate ourselves, certainly we fight alongside the people who are directly affected by these nuclear deposits, we participate in the demonstrations, in the meetings in the streets, but do not sacrifice our point of view to the “reality”, to compromise. We always try to be critical of who we find at our side and, above all, we do not limit our actions in the name of an alleged incomprehensibility on the part of the people.

Let us participate in the assemblies (if there are any) but let us not mystify our real purpose, the destruction of the technological society, the construction of a society free of the state.

Let us also remember that by acting outside the decisions of the assemblies we are not doing any harm to the collectivity in struggle, we are simply expressing our being anarchists.

Let us not disassociate ourselves in the name of a common struggle from violent actions that will happen, if they ever happen, even if we do not share them. Let us renounce the false benefits (comforts) that this rotten society “gives” us, let us be consistent.

I believe that these are the few lessons that the “social” ecological struggles have given us in recent decades.

Perhaps another opportunity is appearing on the horizon, an opportunity not to be missed. I am firmly convinced that it would be enough not to repeat the usual mistakes in order to meet with unexpected results.

One could condense all this soliloquy of mine into a very simple concept: “multiformity of actions without preconceptions and stakes”.

Let’s put an end to paranoia about the avant-garde, about the spectacle of actions, let everyone act as they wish, everything will harmonise into a “unicum”, and above all let’s dissociate ourselves from dissociations.

I may have gone “off-topic”, but I believe that there will be anarchists among you. Mine is a speech by an anarchist addressed more to anarchists than anything else, but I hope it has been picked up by everyone, even if it represents a “particular” point of view.

What is certain is that the problems we have faced today affect everyone, everyone’s life.

I would very much like to take part in the debate there with you, but for reasons of force majeure it is impossible for me.

Note: Alfredo Cospito is an anarchist who has been in prison since September 2012, arrested for having shot Roberto Adinolfi, the CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare. On May 7, 2012, two comrades shot Adinolfi in Genoa, later claiming the action as Nucleo Olga / FAI–FRI (Federazione Anarchica Informale – Fronte Rivoluzionario Internazionale). In October 2013 the comrades also claimed the action during the trial at first instance. Alfredo was sentenced to 9 years, 5 months and 10 days. The comrades were convicted of terrorist attack, theft of a motorcycle and serious injury.

On September 6, 2016, an extensive repressive operation called Scripta Manent resulted in the arrest of six comrades and a new arrest order for the two comrades convicted in Genoa for the attack against Adinolfi. The trial at first instance, which lasted from November 2017 to April 2019, saw 22 comrades accused of belonging to FAI–FRI and two comrades among them, Alfredo and comrade Anna Beniamino, accused of a series of actions claimed by acronyms referable to the FAI between 2005 and 2007. In April 2019, five comrades were convicted to sentences between 5 and 20 years in the first instance judgment. On November 24, 2020, in the appeal trial sentence, 13 comrades were convicted, including Alfredo again to 20 years. Following this latest sentence are currently imprisoned Alfredo and Anna, in Ferrara and Messina prisons respectively. Alfredo, Anna and the other comrade arrested in 2012 (now released from prison) were also convicted for participation in FAI–FRI. After these two sentences in 2019 and 2020, five comrades were released from prison: two for having completed their sentences and three for having been acquitted.

During these years in prison Alfredo has continued to be present in the debate in the anarchist movement, participating in particular in the last edition of “Croce Nera Anarchica” (for which, in relation to the magazine and the website, there were convictions for instigation to commit crimes in the appeal trial of Scripta Manent) and in “Vetriolo”. Soon to be published is “Quale internazionale?”, a book edited by Alfredo himself and the other comrade editors of “Vetriolo”.

Το παρόν κείμενο αποτελεί τοποθέτηση του έγκλειστου αναρχικού Alfredo Cospito στη συζήτηση για τον αγώνα ενάντια στην πυρηνική ενέργεια, η οποία διεξήχθη στα πλαίσια της πρωτοβουλίας “Voi gli date vent’anni, noi gli diamo la parola” (“Εσείς του δίνετε είκοσι χρόνια, εμείς του δίνουμε τον κόσμο”), στο Circolaccio Anarchico, στο Σπολέτο, στις 20 Μάρτη του 2021.

Αφού είδα αυτήν την ταινία σχετικά με την τραγωδία στο Τσέρνομπιλ, μου ζητήθηκε να προβώ σε μια τοποθέτηση.

Και τι να πρωτοπώ;

Τα τελευταία εννιά χρόνια της ζωής μου τα πέρασα κλειδαμπαρωμένος σ’ ένα κελί, διότι, παρέα μ’ έναν ακόμη σύντροφό μου, πυροβόλησα έναν απ’ τους σημαντικότερους ιθύνοντες της πυρηνικής ενέργειας στην Ιταλία εκείνον τον καιρό. Και το πράξαμε ακριβώς επειδή δε θέλαμε να ξαναδούμε να συμβαίνει εδώ ό,τι είδαμε να συμβαίνει στην ταινία. Αρκετά απλοϊκό ως κίνητρο, όμως έτσι συνέβη.

Άξιζε όμως;

Θά ‘θελα να πιστεύω πως η δράση μας, παρότι μεμονωμένη, είχε μια κάποια βαρύτητα. Το μόνο βέβαιο είναι πως δράσεις τέτοιου είδους είναι απολύτως μη απορροφήσιμες απ’ το σύστημα, και επ’ ουδενί δε θα μπορούσαν να είναι. Μπορούν να τις δαιμονοποιήσουν, ποτέ όμως να τις απορροφήσουν, πόσο μάλλον να τις ακυρώσουν, εφόσον τέτοιες δράσεις αφήνουν στην εξουσία ένα τελεσίγραφο, και, απ’ τη δική μου οπτική, αυτό είναι κάτι παραπάνω από αρκετό για να ρισκάρω τα πάντα, τη λευτεριά μου, ακόμα και τη ζωή μου.

Ναι λοιπόν! Στο τέλος της μέρας, άξιζε.

Δε θέλαμε να τον σκοτώσουμε, θέλαμε μόνο να τον τραυματίσουμε, ορθώνοντας ένα απροσπέλαστο τείχος απέναντι στον τεχνολογικό και δολοφονικό κυνισμό των αδίστακτων επιστημόνων και πολιτικών: “Πέραν του ότι δε θα μπορείς να περπατήσεις, δε θα ξαναφέρεις την πυρηνική ενέργεια πίσω στην Ιταλία, ειδάλλως θα σε αντιμετωπίσουμε με όλα μας τα μέσα”.

Εννιά χρόνια πριν, όταν προβήκαμε στο χτύπημά μας, η πιθανότητα επιστροφής της πυρηνικής ενέργειας στην Ιταλία φαινόταν έντονα να αναδύεται ξανά. Μόλις είχε συμβεί η Φουκουσίμα, και στη χώρα “μας”, χρόνια επί χρόνων αγώνα ενάντια στην πυρηνική ενέργεια φάνταζαν να κινδυνεύουν να εξαλειφθούν, γεγονός που συνέβαινε σ’ ένα πέπλο απόλυτης σιωπής. Τότε, όπως ακόμη και σήμερα, η Ιταλία, μέσω της Ansaldo Nucleare, συνεισφέρει στην κατασκευή πυρηνικών εγκαταστάσεων σε χώρες όπως η Ρουμανία και η Αλβανία. Λίγο πριν τη δράση μας, ένα ατύχημα κατά τη διάρκεια της κατασκευής μίας εξ αυτών των εγκαταστάσεων σκότωσε δύο εργάτες. Κανείς στην Ιταλία δε μιλούσε γι’ αυτό, εκτός από ‘κείνους τους ουτοπιστές οικολόγους και αναρχικούς, οι οποίοι αντίκριζαν τον φόβο της επιστροφής των σταθμών πυρηνικής ενέργειας στα μέρη “μας”, ενώ πολλά κόμματα στήριζαν αυτήν την εφιαλτική προοπτική. Σαφέστατα, δεν έχω αυταπάτες πως η δράση μας εμπόδισε την επιστροφή της πυρηνικής ενέργειας στην Ιταλία, μα γυρίσαμε λίγο φόβο στο στρατόπεδό τους. Αυτή, λοιπόν, ήταν η συνεισφορά μας, αν και περιορισμένη, και αυτό είχε τη βαρύτητά του · και δε θαρρώ πως ήταν κάτι τόσο αμελητέο όσο θέλανε να μας κάνουν να πιστεύουμε.

Σήμερα, η ιταλική κυβέρνηση πρέπει αναγκαστικά να “αποκομίσει” πυρηνικά απόβλητα από τις παλιές εγκαταστάσεις πυρηνικής ενέργειας που τέθηκαν εκτός λειτουργίας, πετώντας 78.000 κυβικά μέτρα ραδιενεργών αποβλήτων κάτω απ’ το χαλάκι στο Πεδεμόντιο, στη Σαρδηνία, στην Τοσκάνη, στο Λάτσιο, στην Απουλία, στην Μπαζιλικάτα και στη Σικελία. Το παρουσιάζουν ως “αποκομιδή” χαμηλού επιπέδου ραδιοενεργών αποβλήτων, προϊόντων των εργοστασίων και λοιπών ιατροφαρμακευτικών αποβλήτων, όμως, στην πραγματικότητα, προσπαθούν κάτω απ’ το τραπέζι να περάσουν την “αποκομιδή” πολύ πιο επικίνδυνων ραδιενεργών αποβλήτων από τις παλιές πυρηνικές εγκαταστάσεις.

Ας γίνω σαφής, η λύση δε θα μπορούσε να είναι το να πετάξουμε τα απόβλητα εκτός Ιταλίας, όπως ίσως έχει ήδη γίνει στο παρελθόν στην Αφρική, χρησιμοποιώντας φτωχότερες χώρες ως χωματερές για τα πυρηνικά μας κόπρανα. Ένα “οικολογικό” κίνημα το οποίο επί της ουσίας πιέζει προς μια τέτοια κατεύθυνση, είναι ένα αστικό κίνημα, στα πλαίσια ενός άθλιου “οικολογισμού”. Όσοι αντιτίθενται στις δομές απόθεσης πυρηνικών αποβλήτων επειδή υποτιμάται η αξία της ιδιοκτησίας τους, ποτέ δε θά ‘χουν την εμπιστοσύνη μου. Είναι αυτό το είδος ανθρώπων που έφεραν τις πιο χονδροειδείς πολιτικές στο κίνημα NO TAV (ενάντια στον Σιδηρόδρομο Υψηλής Ταχύτητας). Πάντα έτοιμοι να ξεπουλήσουν αγώνες, να τραβήξουν διαχωριστικές γραμμές από δράσεις. Δε θα κάνουμε επίκληση σε δαύτα τα ξεκάθαρα αστικά ένστικτα, ούτε θα μπορέσουμε να εθελοτυφλούμε όταν δημάρχοι, τοπικά ιδρύματα τέτοιων χωρών, απαιτούν αποζημιώσεις ή κλαψουρίζουν για την περιουσία τους, τις επιχειρήσεις τους, τις οικονομικές τους απώλειες. Το να έρθουμε ξανά σε επαφή με τέτοιους τύπους θα ήταν καταστροφικό. Ένα αρχαίο εβραϊκό ρητό λέει: “Ο άνθρωπος είναι το μόνο ζώο που μπορεί να σκοντάψει δυο φορές στην ίδια πέτρα”. Ας προσπαθήσουμε να μην επαναλάβουμε τα ίδια λάθη · είκοσι χρόνια αγώνα ενάντια στο TAV θά ‘πρεπε να μας έχουν διδάξει κάποια πράγματα.

Θα ήταν ηλίθιο και μη προωθητικό από πλευράς μας να γυρεύουμε “λύσεις”, καταπραϋντικά για να καταστήσουμε την τεχνολογία πιο βιώσιμη, πιο “οικολογική”. Είμαστε ενάντια στις δομές απόθεσης πυρηνικών αποβλήτων, όσο είμαστε ενάντια και στις ανεμογεννήτριες – ημίμετρα δεν υπάρχουν στο πεδίο αυτό. Η μόνη πραγματική και απόλυτη λύση για τα πυρηνικά απόβλητα είναι να πολεμήσουμε με κάθε μέσο ώστε τα πυρηνικά εργοστάσια να κλείσουν παντού. Δεν μπορούμε να παρακάμπτουμε το θέμα αυτό, είναι ζήτημα ζωής και θανάτου. Ο πλανήτης πεθαίνει, μόνο ένα πράγμα μπορούμε να κάνουμε: Να καταστρέψουμε εκ των έσω την τεχνολογική και καπιταλιστική κοινωνία στην οποία μας επιβάλλεται να ζούμε. Είναι αχρείαστο το να προσπαθούμε να ξεφύγουμε, είναι υποκριτικό το να χτίσουμε έναν μικρό παράδεισο επί γης, καθώς έτσι, ακόμα κι αν δε θέλουμε, γινόμαστε συνένοχοι · είναι εγκληματικό να αναζητούμε αναλγητικά, να ξεγελάμε τους εαυτούς μας πως η τεχνολογία μπορεί να καταστεί “οικολογική”. Δεν είναι ο αριθμός συμμετεχόντων σε μια διαδήλωση που θα φέρει αποτελέσματα, αλλά η ισχύς και η ριζοσπαστικότητα των ενεργειών μας. Τούτη είναι μια απ’ τις ιδιαιτερότητές μας, και ως αναρχικές κι αναρχικοί στοχεύουμε στα ποιοτικά χαρακτηριστικά · όχι τόσο στην ποσότητα των ανθρώπων πίσω από ένα πανό, αλλά στην ποιότητα των δράσεων και των ζωών μας. Ο κόσμος ενδέχεται να έρθει, αλλά αυτό εξαρτάται από τη συνέπεια και την ειλικρίνεια των σκοπών μας, καθώς επίσης και από την επαναστατική μας διαδικασία. Το πρώτο εμπόδιο που θα συναντήσουμε εδώ είναι πάντα το ίδιο: ο αστικός, πολιτικά απαθής οικολογισμός.

Με αυτό, δε θέλω να υποστηρίξω πως πρέπει να αυτοαπομονωθούμε, σίγουρα παλεύουμε στο πλευρό των ανθρώπων που πλήττονται άμεσα από δαύτα τα πυρηνικά απόβλητα, συμμετέχουμε στις διαδηλώσεις, στις συγκεντρώσεις έξω στον δρόμο, όμως δε θυσιάζουμε τις ιδέες μας στον βωμό του “ρεαλισμού”, του συμβιβασμού. Φροντίζουμε διαρκώς να έχουμε κριτικό πνεύμα ως προς το ποιους έχουμε με το πλευρό μας και, πάνω απ’ όλα, δεν περιορίζουμε τις δράσεις μας στο όνομα μιας υποτιθέμενης έλλειψης κατανόησης από μερίδα του κόσμου.

Ας συμμετέχουμε σε συνελεύσεις (αν υπάρχουν), αλλά ας μη λησμονούμε τον πραγματικό μας σκοπό, την καταστροφή της τεχνολογικής κοινωνίας, την οικοδόμηση μιας κοινωνίας δίχως κράτος.

Ας έχουμε επίσης κατά νου πως, με το να δρούμε και πέραν απ’ τις αποφάσεις των συνελεύσεων, δεν πλήττουμε το συλλογικό σώμα του αγώνα, απλώς εκφράζουμε τη θέση μας ως αναρχικοί/ές.

Ας μην αποστασιοποιούμαστε -στο όνομα ενός κοινού αγώνα- από τις βίαιες ενέργειες που θα συμβούν, αν συμβούν, ακόμη κι αν δεν τις επικροτούμε πλήρως. Ας αποκηρύξουμε τα επίπλαστα προνόμια (ανέσεις) που μας “παρέχει” αυτή η σαπισμένη κοινωνία, ας επιδείξουμε συνέπεια.

Θεωρώ πως αυτά είναι τα λίγα μαθήματα που έχουν να μας προσφέρουν οι “κοινωνικοί” οικολογικοί αγώνες των τελευταίων δεκαετιών.

Ίσως αναδύεται στον ορίζοντα μια νέα ευκαιρία, μια ευκαιρία που δεν πρέπει να χαθεί. Είμαι ακράδαντα πεπεισμένος πως θα αρκούσε απλώς να μην επαναλάβουμε τα συνήθη λάθη, αν θέλουμε να δούμε απροσδόκητα αποτελέσματα.

Θα μπορούσε κανείς να συνοψίσει τούτον τον μονόλογο σε μια πολύ απλή ιδέα: “πολυμορφία δράσεων χωρίς προκαταλήψεις και οριοθετήσεις”.

Ας βάλουμε ένα τέρμα στην παράνοια σχετικά με τις πρωτοπορίες, με το θέαμα των δράσεων · ας δρα καθείς όπως επιθυμεί, ας εναρμονιστούν τα πάντα σε μια “ολότητα” και, πάνω απ’ όλα, ας αποστασιοποιηθούμε απ’ τους διαχωρισμούς.

Ίσως βγήκα λίγο “εκτός θέματος”, όμως πιστεύω πως ανάμεσά σας θα υπάρχουν αναρχικές κι αναρχικοί. Η τοποθέτηση αυτή προέρχεται από έναν αναρχικό, και πιότερο απ’ όλους απευθύνεται στις αναρχικές και τους αναρχικούς, όμως ευελπιστώ να έγινε κατανοητή και από όλους και όλες τις υπόλοιπες, ακόμη κι αν εκπροσωπεί μιαν αρκετά “συγκεκριμένη” αντίληψη.

Το μόνο βέβαιο είναι πως τα προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζουμε σήμερα επηρεάζουν τους πάντες, τη ζωή όλων.

Θα ήθελα πολύ να συμμετάσχω σ’ αυτή τη συζήτηση μαζί σας εκεί, όμως, για λόγους ανωτέρας βίας, αυτό είναι αδύνατο για ‘μένα.
