Campagna di solidarietà in vista della corte d’appello del processo per la manifestazione antifascista del 17 settembre 2015 (Grecia)
Il 17 settembre 2015, due anni dopo l’assassinio dell’antifascista Pavlos Fissas per mano del fascista Roupakias, una manifestazione antifascista–antistatale–anticapitalista venne indetta in piazza Kaningos dall’Assemblea anarchica contro lo Stato, il capitale, i fascisti.
Come storicamente comprovato, il fascismo è il braccio destro dei padroni e degli Stati. I fascisti sono utili fantocci per l’espansione degli interessi capitalistici in termini militaristi, sempre sostenuti dalla narrazione della coscienza e della supremazia nazionale. Quando è stato necessario, questa narrazione è stata ideologicamente e materialmente adoperata al fine di ridefinire gli equilibri sociali e le condizioni di sfruttamento.
Questa manifestazione del 2015 ha inteso la connessione della prospettiva antifascista con i più ampi principi anarchici, anticapitalisti e antistatali, sostenendo che i fascisti di per sé stessi sono nulla e che la minaccia fascista non può essere annientata se non resistiamo in primo luogo al sistema capitalista e al potere statale che lo genera e lo alimenta. L’uccisione di Pavlos Fissas non è stata un incidente isolato. Era parte delle politiche statal-razziste che stavano già stigmatizzando e schiacciando migranti e rifugiati, lavoratrici del sesso sieropositive, movimenti e iniziative di resistenza, gruppi sociali marginalizzati che – nel corso dei molti anni della storia capitalista – sono stati gettati nella discarica della svalutazione e della degradazione. Quell’assassinio è stato parte della divisione di classe che – nel corso di secoli – ha normalizzato la disuguaglianza sociale, la povertà e la miseria.
I partecipanti alla manifestazione si scontrarono con le forze repressive mentre si muovevano da piazza Kaningos alla caserma della polizia ad Exarchia. Da quel punto, gli scontri si estesero a tutta la zona di Exarchia per alcune ore. Dalla parte dei manifestanti ci furono arresti e feriti gravi che si sono avuti dopo l’intervento repressivo delle forze di polizia all’epoca note come DELTA (la polizia in motocicletta). È da notare come questa manifestazione è stata l’ultima apparizione di questi specifici sgherri in uniforme per i successivi quattro anni (nel 2019 sono riapparsi sotto il governo di Néa Dimokratía). Questo perché l’infrangersi dei fasulli limiti umanitari – con la violenza sui corpi dei giovani, rompendo denti, procurando occhi neri, schiacciando i piedi con le moto, rompendo mani, fratturando ossa – ha destato scalpore. Ma tali pratiche non sono né inedite né invisibili. Lo Stato ha una continuità, così anche la brutalità e la “violenza legittima” esercitate dalle sue guardie armate.
I procedimenti giudiziari hanno incluso accuse per vari reati nei confronti di molte persone. Le udienze processuali non sono ancora terminate per tutti i perseguiti, poiché deve ancora avere luogo la corte d’appello nei confronti di alcuni compagni che all’epoca erano maggiorenni e che quindi vengono giudicati con la relativa imposizione legale, mentre altri compagni sono già stati processati. Le somme di denaro da raccogliere sono quasi insostenibili, e il periodo di lockdown a causa del Covid-19 ha reso ancora più difficile la raccolta di questi soldi.
Questa specifica campagna di solidarietà riguarda la raccolta di una somma relativamente piccola delle spese legali complessive necessarie per la corte d’appello, dato che la maggior parte è già stata racimolata. Le spese legali derivano dalle necessità avute dalla difesa degli accusati durante il processo.

Solidarity campaign, appeal court for the anti-fascist demo at September 17, 2015 (Greece)
At 17/09/2015, 2 years after the murder of antifascist Pavlos Fissas by the hand of fascist Roupakias, an anti-fascist – anti-state – anti-capitalist demonstration was called at Kaningos square by the “Anarchist’s assembly against state, capital, fascists”.
As it has been historically proved, fascism is the right hand of bosses and states. Fascists are the useful front-men for the expansion of the capitalist interests on military terms, always embraced by the narrative of national consciousness and supremacy. Whenever needed, this narrative has been ideologically and materially employed on the purpose of redefining the social balances and the exploitative conditions.
That demonstration intended to the connection of the anti-fascist perspective with the wider anarchist, anti-capitalist and anti-state principles, claiming that fascists are nothing by themselves and that we can’t annihilate the fascist threat if we don’t primarily resist to the capitalist system and the state power that breeds and feeds it. Pavlos Fissas’s murder was not an isolated incident. It was part of the further state-racist policies that were already stigmatizing and destroying migrants and refugees, HIV positive sex-workers, movements and initiatives of resistance, marginalized social groups which – over the many years of capitalist history – were thrown to the landfill of depreciation and degradation. It was part of the class separation that – over centuries – was normalizing the social inequality, poverty and misery.
The people of that demo clashed with the repressive power, as they moved from Kaningos square to the Police Station of Exarchia. From this point, clashes expanded at the whole area of Exarchia for some hours. On the side of the people of struggle, there were arrests and serious injuries which happened after the repressive intervening of the former DELTA forces (the cops with the small motorbikes). It’s worth noting that in that demo it was the last appearance of the specific uniformed “thugs” for the next 4 years (at 2019 they re-appeared under New Democracy government). And this happened because the false humanist limits were broken, and it was caused a stir by the violence that they exercised on the bodies of young people, breaking teeth, giving black eyes, running over feet with their motorbikes, breaking hands, crushing bones. But such practices are neither unprecedented, nor invisible. State has a continuity, and also does the brutality and the “legal violence” exercised by its armed front-men.
The prosecutions for many people included felony-level charges. The judicial hearings have not finished yet for all the prosecuted people, as it’s still to take place the appeal court of some comrades who back then were over 18 years old, and they are judged with the relevant legal imposition. The amounts of money that need to be raised are nearly unaffordable, and the period of lock-down because of Covid-19 made even more difficult the procedure of collecting that money.
This specific solidarity campaign is about collecting a relatively small amount of the total legal expenses for the appeal court, as the biggest part has already been collected. These legal expenses arise by the need for the legal defence of the prosecuted people in front of the trial chamber.
