Sentenza del processo contro Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis e D. M. (Atene, Grecia, 23.04.2021)
Venerdì 23 aprile 2021, presso il tribunale di Loukareos ad Atene, è stata emessa la sentenza contro gli anarchici Vaggelis Stathopoulos (imprigionato) e Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis (in clandestinità da ottobre 2019) e contro il terzo imputato, D. M. Il processo ha fatto seguito all’operazione repressiva dell’8−9 novembre 2019 ad Atene. Gli imputati sono stati accusati a vario titolo di una rapina a mano armata in un’agenzia di scommesse, in cui rimase accidentalmente ferito il compagno Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis (21 ottobre 2019), del possesso di un deposito di armi e di partecipazione all’Organizzazione di Autodifesa Rivoluzionaria [Οργανισμός Επαναστατικής Αυτοάμυνας, OEA].
A partire dalla rapina si mise in moto l’apparato repressivo, arrivando all’operazione e agli arresti del novembre successivo. Durante l’operazione sono state rinvenute delle armi, tra cui una che è stata ritenuta dalle forze repressive di pertinenza dell’Organizzazione di Autodifesa Rivoluzionaria.
Il compagno Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis, tramite dei comunicati inviati dalla clandestinità, ha assunto fin da subito la responsabilità per la partecipazione all’esproprio e quella esclusiva del proprio ferimento accidentale. Inoltre ha assunto la responsabilità per l’intero deposito di armi che è stato rinvenuto. Il compagno ha dichiarato di rivendicare la responsabilità politica per la riorganizzazione e la continuazione della guerriglia sulla base della strategia e dell’esperienza proprie dell’Organizzazione di Autodifesa Rivoluzionaria, negando qualsiasi legame degli arrestati con la storia dell’organizzazione specifica e con le conseguenti responsabilità politiche e pratiche che solo lui ha assunto e di cui solo lui era a conoscenza.

Le condanne contro gli imputati:
Vaggelis Stathopoulos: 19 anni senza appello.
Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis: 16 anni senza appello.
D. M.: 10 anni con la possibilità di appello.
Durante l’udienza del 23 aprile sono stati affissi striscioni e gridati slogan da parte dei solidali presenti nel tribunale.

Dichiarazione di Vaggelis Stathopoulos
La solidarietà è giudicata sulla mia persona con le accuse più pesanti, perché ho aiutato un compagno ferito. L’accusa e il processo nei miei confronti si basano unicamente su criteri politici, sull’attitudine dignitosa e solidale che ho costantemente seguito durante tutta la mia vita. Non ho nulla di cui disporre se non la mia vita, non ho nulla da difendere al di là della costante lotta contro la furia assassina dello Stato e del capitale! Se la mia solidarietà pratica è il crimine per il quale sono stato condannato e imprigionato, mi dichiaro impenitente!
P. S.: Chiudendo qui, vorrei salutare dal profondo del cuore i compagni che sono rimasti al mio fianco, in ogni modo, quelli che mi sono rimasti vicini e continuano a lottare. Pur sapendo che le condizioni sono avverse e che le cose là fuori sono difficili, non hanno desistito! Rinnovo l’appuntamento nelle strade, dove sono cresciuto e che non ho mai dimenticato.

Sentence of the trial against Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis and D. M. (Athens, Greece, April 23, 2021)
On Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Loukareos Court in Athens, the verdict was pronounced against anarchists Vaggelis Stathopoulos (imprisoned) and Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis (in hiding since October 2019) and against the third defendant, D. M. The trial followed the repressive operation of 8–9 November 2019 in Athens. The defendants were charged variously with an armed robbery at an OPAP agency, in which comrade Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis was accidentally injured (October 21, 2019), possession of a cache of weapons and participation in the Revolutionary Self-Defence Organisation [Οργανισμός Επαναστατικής Αυτοάμυνας, OEA].
After the robbery, the repressive apparatus was launched, leading to the operation and arrests the following November. Weapons were found during the operation, one of which was considered by the repressive forces to be belonging to the Revolutionary Self-Defense Organization.
Comrade Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis immediately took the political and practical responsibility for participating in the robbery and the exclusive responsibility for his own injury. Also, he took the exclusive political and practical responsibility for the entire armoury and other material that was found with it. The comrade stated that he had assumed the political responsibility for the reorganization and continuation of guerilla struggle based on the strategy and experience of the Organization of Revolutionary Self-Defense, denying that the arrested could have any connection with the history of the specific organisation and the resulting political and practical responsibilities of which he alone was aware.

Statement of Vaggelis Stathopoulos
Solidarity is judged on my person with the heaviest accusations, because I helped an injured comrade. My prosecution and trial are based solely on political criteria, on the attitude of dignity and solidarity that I have consistently followed throughout my life. I have nothing to dispose of but my own life, I have nothing to defend despite the constant struggle against the murderous rage of the State and capital! If my practical solidarity is the crime for which I am convicted and imprisoned, I declare myself unrepentant!
P. S.: Closing here, I would like to greet from the bottom of my heart the comrades who stayed by my side, in every way, those who stood by me and continue to fight. Knowing that the conditions are adverse and things are difficult outside, they did not desist! And to renew the appointment on the streets, where I grew up and have never forgotten.
